Baluchon manufactures amazing tiny houses that truly reflect creativity through their structural design and built. The Ondine is a quintessential Baluchon tiny house as it holds a wide range of space saving, stylish, and practical features that make living the tiny life as lavish as it can get. The architectural intelligence shines through the houses constructed by Baluchon and the Ondine is one of them. With just one glance at this house you’ll get a fair idea of the abundance of space that it provides to its residents as its structure is pretty wide and long.
Three colours can be detected in the exterior’s colour scheme and you get to witness a beautiful blend of some really stunning shades. The house exhibits lap siding that is coated in a yellowish brown colour while the upper portion of the Ondine’s holds a neat arrangement of deep brown wooden panels laid vertically. The rest of the exterior has hints of maroon splashed on different parts such as the frames of the windows and the door.
The interiors on the other hand are light coloured and are especially bright and welcoming in nature. The meticulous design of the layout and the systematic arrangement of interior décor together make the Ondine’s indoors winsome and commodious. The living room misses the conventional couch and centre table combination, rather holds a small coffee table with 4 comfortable floor cushions that are authentically called tatami mats in Japanese on each side for comfortable seating.
The Japanese method of living is adapted here which gives the relaxing area a very unique touch while sparing plenty of elbow room for convenient navigation around the house that may not be possible with the presence of multiple furniture pieces. A Dickinson wood stove is placed near this setup to keep the lounging area warm and cosy during the winter season. A tall wardrobe also finds its place in the corner that has sufficient capacity to hold several clothing items and your other personal belongings.
The Japanese stairs have built-in storage capacity that provides extra utility while also presenting themselves as a stylish interior décor feature. The other loft above the living room can be accessed through the oak steps ladder that can be removed and kept aside when it is not in use so as to not cause any unnecessary obstacles in the relaxing zone. The double loft layout makes this house a great option for a small family as the Ondine can accommodate up to 4 people conveniently.
The dual lofts can each sleep up to two people comfortably and the rest of the house is also designed to support a convenient lifestyle for a small family which is why the Ondine offers a spacious and roomy layout.
