The inspired idea of naming this tiny house ‘Poplar’ comes from the use of a milled Poplar tree in making this model. The house proudly presents its cabinetry, flooring, framing and ceilings made from a single milled poplar tree. A total of 5 non-toxic materials are used in crafting this chic model and this is one of the many enticing characteristics of Poplar. Magnesium oxide boards are used for constructing the walls which are finished with a natural clay master. The windows are made with Aluminium and other metals are used for wiring.
For insulation, the choice of cotton batt seems wise as it is made up of cellulose fibres that are gathered from used clothes such as jeans, which shows an excellent use of recycling. Lastly, silicon is used in certain parts of the house where water proofing was required and also for adhesive strength. These 5 non-toxic materials were combined together to construct a stellar tiny house that is both stylish and spacious.
Another attractive feature of this tiny house is its single slope roof that has a steep slanting structure. This roof style increases the house’s curb appeal while also adding a little more space to the interiors. The exteriors display classic lap siding that gives the house a neat look. The windows have white coloured frames that pop up against the otherwise muted background. The winsome combination of white and brown enhances the aesthetic value of Poplar. A single sconce light is affixed above the window to keep the exterior portion of the house lit even after the sun sets down.
The interiors look classy and also offer a commodious layout to let the residents make the most of their living space. Upon entering through the main front door, you are greeted with the sight of a cosy living room that offers sufficient space to let you place a family size couch and a small centre table to fulfil the purpose of lounging. A small dining table is placed here which is also systematically positioned next to the kitchen counter.
The open kitchen comes with an L-shaped counter that is equipped with a cooktop and oven combination, a stainless steel sink with an attached faucet and a number of cabinets and open shelves for storage. The sleeping loft can accommodate up to 2 people conveniently and can hold a queen size mattress to fulfil this purpose. There are circular LED lights inset in the ceiling of the entire house to keep the interiors well-lit and radiant.
The use of 5 non-toxic materials to craft a house as classy as the Poplar truly reflects architectural brilliance. The interiors are serene and the exteriors look elegant. You get ample space to conveniently navigate around the house and live comfortably. It can sleep up to two people in the loft which makes it a good choice for couples.
